About the Position:

The Cellar Production Specialist works as a member of our production team, assisting in daily winemaking activities. This position will assist in completing work orders that include wine processing and bottling, cleaning of tanks, floors, hoses, and equipment as well as making additions to tanks and performing filtrations. After mastering the basic tasks of winemaking, the Cellar Production Specialist will be given the opportunity to take on additional duties over time including operating filters, centrifuges, grape press, de-stemmer, crusher and bottling machinery. Reporting to the Cellar Master, you'll engage in a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the integrity and excellence of our wines.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring tanks are meticulously cleaned, both inside and out, to uphold our sanitation standards.

• Collaborating with our winemaking team to execute daily tasks according to established procedures.

• Adhering to HACCP, MIOSHA, and FDA guidelines to guarantee food packaging safety and worker well-being.

• Operating and maintaining winemaking equipment, such as filters, centrifuges, presses, and bottling machinery.

• Embracing opportunities to expand your skills and take on additional responsibilities as you grow within the company.

We're seeking candidates who possess:

• A valid driver's license and eligibility to be insured on company vehicles.

• Physical resilience, with the ability to lift 50 lbs and perform strenuous tasks.

• A strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset, essential for thriving in a team environment.

• The capacity to work autonomously and efficiently, with a keen eye for detail.

• An inherent interest in wine and winemaking, coupled with a commitment to excellence.

• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends during the grape harvest season.

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.

This role entails working in a dynamic winery/production setting, where you'll spend considerable time on your feet, engage in heavy lifting, and operate machinery. Comfort with heights and confined spaces is necessary for certain tasks. Employees are required to wear jeans and waterproof boots to ensure safety and comfort during work hours.

While not mandatory, prior experience in brewing or a related field is preferred.

This position requires in-person presence at our Paw Paw, Michigan facility.
